This is kind of scruffy, but it's an unusual pattern and much different from the smooth, clean look I prefer to achieve.

Note to self: Getting mallard to marry to anything is a lot like work! wallbash.gif

Great job--even the "scruffiness" isn't really all that scruffy. Have to agree on the mallard. Pintail is nearly identical, and much easier to work with if you do not demand working with 100% original reciepe materials-which I kinda think you do. Bang-up job, John.

John, that is outstanding ... I really like the pattern and I think it would be a killer. We have a lake full of Brookies that would love that fly.... I'm thinking I need to make a trip up there this fall with a couple of these in the box. Monte, Mike how about a little float trip to Gold?
