Tying Instructions: Tied in a traditional dry fly style, but tied the wings in to lay back over the body. Tied this pattern after scrounging around on the bench and playing with scrap materials. Was inspired after Jamie and I were talking and laughing about fighting of the yellow jackets in camp on the Cumberland last fall. We saw many fall into the water on that trip (days were warm, but the nights were chilly. Last horrah for the 'jackets feeding before the first hard frost) and each time, an opportunistic trout or bluegill swallowed them up. Just wanted to share this one. Quick and easy tie for our beginners just tying dries.
