Tail: 2 Black goose biots. Extended Abdomen: Hareline adult damsel body (blue) over a firm but lightweight wire (such as the finest guitar strings, etc...) Wings: 4 shaped wings cut from a clear iridescent mylar sheet, colored with matching pantone markers. Thorax: Hareline Ice Dub UV, gray Dubbing. Legs: Bill Skilton's legging material, Black, bent to shape. Tying Instructions: Secure a strand of very light but firm wire in the vise and tie two black goose biots to it to create the tail. Then start with the rest of the fly. Slip the damsel body braid over the wire and tie it, and the wire to the hook. Trim the excess. Next prepare 4 wings from any kind of flashy winging material such as mylar sheets, clear raffia, iridescent wrapping paper, etc... You can use a marker to create a pattern if you wish. Secure 3 1" strips of Bill Skiltons legging material to the bottom of the shank. Secure the strips in the middle so that you end up with 6 legs, 3 on each side. Prepare glass bead and mono eyes and tie them in near the eye of the hook. Now that the legs and eyes are attached, cover the thorax with Ice Dub UV dubbing and whip finish. With a heated pair of tweasers bend and shape the legs to a desired position. Apply head cement & enjoy your creation. | Other Flies Tied by Pujic Members That Bookmarked This Fly Also Bookmarked...
