Tying Instructions: The Virtual Dragon is a fairly basic nymphal fly pattern yet is quite time consuming. It is an imitation of the darner family of dragonfly nymphs. A base underbody of wool is necessary in order to achieve the broad abdominal profile of the naturals. Presentation Tips: From an anchored boat, cast and fish this pattern down along the lake bottom around the preferred habitat of the dragonfly nymph - amongst aquatic vegetation and debris or large stones. Use a retrieve consisting of long, slow pulls mixed with brief pausings and quick, erratic strips to mimic the movement where the naturals use their form of jet propulsion. | Other Flies Tied by Flyfisher
