Comment on this pattern FURDUCERtied by Jimmy Aw Fly Type: Seducers/Whistlers, Target Species: General Bluewater, Recommended Region: Other, Imitation: General Baitfish, Material List: Hook : Daiichi, Size 4 & beyond (You can varies the size of the hook for a bigger size.) Thread : Danville 6/0 Flat, Prewaxed, White or Clear Mono Head : Bead Chain Eyes or other lead eyes as preference, Nearing to the head is also weighted with 7-8 coils of thin lead wire to give the fly a tipsy action. (Varies as your desired movement. Collar: Primarily a mix of multiple colors of Zonker hair. Body : Craft fur in my case or you can use any other furs (Spin as per doing dubbing for nymphs. Except that the craft fur is spin to have long fibers before the wrap. Body Overlay : A few strands of pearl Flashabou / Crystal Flash if required shine. Tying Instructions: 1) Tie approximately ¾ length thread bedding on the hook shank starting with the hook eye. Also include 7 to 8 rounds of lead wire around the front, secure the lead wire coils. 2) Tie in bead chain eyes & epoxy off at the head. ( I often do this process in bulk. Often tying 10 - 20 flies at one go.) 3) Once the epoxy dries off, you can began the next step. Tie in a tail of craft fur & some flash. 4) Apply some epoxy or vanish on the hook shank. Then whip & spin some craft fur to be wrap around the hook shank. 5. Using the same spinning & dubbing method, spin the zonker hair to form a "rainbow" collar, wrap it down to form the final collar. Presentation Tips: Use the fly as per pink thing & other bait fish pattern. Varies your size as accordingly to your fishing needs. With craft fur & some vanish, the fly should be fairly durable from the sandpaper mouths. Tight lines & Enjoy! :) Jim.
