Abdomen: Bleached Deer or elk body hair.

Wings: Greenish yellow dyed mallard flanks cut to shape, tied in upright and divided
Hackle: Brown & grizzly mixed.


Tying Instructions: Lash mono on top of the hook extending about 3/4ths of a hook length passed the bend of the hook. Tie 3 pheasant tail fibers onto the mono extending about an inch passed the end. Lay the bleached deer or elk hair along the shank of the hook and mono. Tie it in 1/2 of the way behind the hook eye. Rib with yellow thread back to the end of the mono. Clip off butts and tips of hair. Cut 2 greenish yellow dyed mallard flanks to the shape of the wings, tie in upright and dived. Tie in one brown and one grizzly dry fly hackle at start of abdomen. Dub thorax, wind hackles to front of fly, tie off and whip finish. Clip hackles on bottom of fly.
