Abdomen, Medium Copper wire over tapered thread under-body.

Dubbing-touch dubbed and roughed up.
Tying Instructions: Clean all the partridge hackle fibers from the bottom of the stem that are not needed. With the hackle facing you, strip the right side fibers off a little higher on the stem. This edge should be tied down to the shank so the hackle points out over the eye.
Tie on the wire and wrap down over it evenly over the bend. Wrap the thread back forming a tapered under-body. Make sure room is left for the thorax. Coat the under-body with head cement to form a good base for the wire. Let dry, then carefully wrap the wire, making sure the wraps are as close as possible. Tie off the wire, and break off excess.
Touch dub the Thorax with Hare's Ear, and once wrapped, brush out some fibers for roughness. Wrap the hackle with 1-2 turns of the partridge. Tie off and trim. With the thumb and forefinger of the non-tying hand, sweep the hackles back and hold them in this position while slightly over-wrapping with the tying thread. Form the head, whip finish and add cement.
Presentation Tips: A good fly to get deep. Fish from bottom to top on the swing or with the Leisenring lift.
