Material List: Hook: Mustad 2x long shank nymph
Thread: Brown Uni-thread 8/0 until tail is finished, and then switch to 6/0 for rest of nymph
Weight: Copper wire (26 gage)
Tail, Legs, Ribbing, and Wngcase: Pheasnat Tail Fibers
Abdomen and Thorax Dubbing: Brown Super Fine Dubbing
Abdomen shelback: Clear plastic ZipLoc(R) piece
Tying Instructions: 1. Cut 15 fibers from pheasant tail without sepperating them. Apply a few drops of head cement to fibers. Let dry until neaded.
2. Tie in brown 8/0 thread to hook shank.
3. Tie in 2-2 1/2 inch copper wire, leaving a 1/16 inch space from where the shank starts to curve and another 1/16 inch space infront of hooks eye.
4. Wrap copper wire half way down the hook shank and cut butts. Cover almost completely the finished wound wire with thread.
5. Tie in three fibers of pheasant tail, slightly flaring them. Trim buts and whip finish/half hitch.
6. Tie in 6/0 Brown thread.
7. Tie in a single pheasant tail fiber, and then 1/8 by 3/4 inch zip-loc strip.
8. Spinn on brown dubbing and dubb abdomen up to the area where you stopped wrapping wire around shank.
9. Tie in ziploc piece over the abdomen, and give three to five turns of the pheasant tail fiber as ribbing.
10. Tie in the wingcase which you prepared in the first step.
11. Spin dubbing onto thread and give three, close together turns of the dubbed thread.
12. Tie in two pheasant tail fibers (one on each side of the shank) right next to the dubbed area of the hook.
13. Repeat last two steps twice.
14. Tie wingcase over the thorax, whipfinish, aply head cement, and your done!
