Tie in goose biots ahead of the bead to form the antennae. Push bead to the head and set a good thread base. Apply Zap a gap if desired, for durability. Cut a point in the Swazandaze and tie in at the tail. You may chose to build the body with some type of yarn and weight the fly with additional lead wire at the thorax if desired. Dub a tapered body up to half the hook shank. Wrap Swazandaze up to that point. Dub and build a small thorax. Cut a V in the turkey quill section and tie on the top of the thorax. Place another section of quill on top of the last but just slightly ahead. Dub a good thorax now, fairly tight. Tie in rubber legs and dub a section on top of the tie in points and ahead of the legs but do not hinder their forward direction. Cut another section of turkey quill but have it slightly overlap the second section. This last quill will be the primary wing case and will be quite dominant. Now finally dub a very small head. Pick out thorax and trim if required and whip finish. Some flies are tied with the goose biot antenna behind the bead, thus the last step; it’s your choice. Good luck, any questions or suggestions will be appreciated. Presentation Tips: Bounce on the bottom, it'll be a shame to loose these but then you can tie some more. | Other Flies Tied by dragonfly
