Tying Instructions: Lay a thread base and tie in 6-10 peacock herls for the tail, but only tie down with a few wraps just ahead of the bend. Holding the peacock herl aout of the way, tie in a couple of strands of each color of the ostrich herl and wrap forward together to get mottled look. Pull peacock herl forward over body to form back. Spin a small bunch of deer hair for the head, preferably sparse.
**NOTE - This pattern was originally tied in Great Brittain with an olive/brown body and natural head. In order to match minnows here (and because I didn't have the brown ostrich herl), I adjusted accordingly.
