Thread: TMC 16/0. Tails: Fibetts (3). Rib: Optional, i use thread and Pearl Krystal Flash. Abdomen: Superfine dub. Thorax: Cdc to match abdomen. Wing: Dark Grey or Nat. Brown cdc. Tying Instructions: 1: Tie in the tails and split them by figure 8 wrapping. 2: Fasten the rib and dub the body. Rib. 3: Tie in some long cdc fibers. Both ends to be used. 4: Tie the forwardpointing cdc fibers down backwards. 5: Make a dubbing loop and spin cdc. Wrap in over thorax. For every turn stroke the fibers backwards and up. The plan is to have only fibers on the sides and upper side of hook. 6: Adjust the cdc thorax, trim away some if it got too bushy. No fibers on the underside! Bend them up if you have tied sparse. 7:Tie in the wingfeather like on the picture, flat over the hook. With the stem centered over the hookshank. Cut away excess and make a neat head. 8: Stroke the wing fibers up and make a clean cut with the scissors down against the body. I like big wings and cut them almost to the point where the tails start. Presentation Tips: A lightweigt mayfly pattern that can be converted to tie any mayfly in hooksizes 14 to 20. I use it most in smaller sizes (16-20). The fly here is tied on a size 16 hook. | Other Flies Tied by Rune Andre Stokkebekk
