Tying Instructions: 1)Put bead on hook, secure hook in vise
2)Slide bead back to the jaws of the vise and attach your thread at the eye.
3)Tie in a rubber leg at the eye of the hook to create the antennae. Dub a small amount of dubbing around the tie in point. Whip finish and cut your thread.
4)Slide the bead back to the front of the hook and attach your thread near the bend.
5) Wrap about 15 wraps of lead wire on the hook shank.
6) Tie in a rubber leg at the bend of the hook to create two back legs.
7) Tie in two goose biots as a tail.
8) Tie in your D Rib and palmer it up to about the 60% mark.
9)Tie in your chenille and palmer forward to the bead.
10) Tie in a rubber leg to create two front legs.
11) Tie in two biots as a wing.
12) Tie in a single hen saddle feather and palmer around the hook.
13) Dub a small amount of dubbing in front of the hen to secure your tie off points.
14)Whip finish and cement
Presentation Tips: Dead drift as a tool fly with a glo-bug or smaller nymph dropper.

I have two different designs here. 1 is all black (aside from the bead) for low light and murky water conditions.

The other use brown biots for the tail, brown D-Rib, white biots for the wing and brown hackle for the collar. This is for clear water and bright conditions.
