Tying Instructions: This design was inspired by the original pheasant tail nymph and so it is tied with no thread. The fine copper wire is attached like thread and all the materials are tied in with the wire.
1. Attach the wire at thorax area.
2. Tie in hackle feather over hook eye
3. Build a "swollen" thorax of wire.
4. Wrap wire to rear of the hook stopping just above the hook point.
5. Attach a few pheasant fibers with tips as the tails
6. Twist the wire with the pheasant fiber butts to make a rope and wind it forward using up any excess on the thorax.
7. Tie off with the wire.
8. Wrap the hackle rearward to the wire and tie down.
9. Wrap wire through hackle and whip finish a head.
