Pine squirrel crawdad orange and strung guinea in red (optional) Overwing » Dark Brown zonked rabbit strip Head » 2mm white foam cut to shape, painted and epoxied Articulation connector » 19 strand Beadalon w/#16 swivel and two red beads Tying Instructions: Dress hook with thread and tie in Beadalon/swivel/bead connector so that the Beadalon covers the entire length of the hook. Wrap over this several times to add strength. Wrap lead from eye of hook back to about the halfway point, secure with thread and work back to bend of hook. Tie in brown rabbit strip at the bend of the hook. Tie in Polar chenille and Wiggly hackle twisted together and work them forward to form the body. Be careful to brush fibers back as you wrap. (Optional): Tie in a couple of red Guinea feathers and wrap soft-hackle style. Tie in and wrap the squirrel strips, brushing fibers back. Tie in legs and position them how you wish. Secure brown rabbit strip over the top of the body at the head. Whip finish the fly. Cut a piece of foam in the shape of a wide triangle; glue it to the head area with super-glue. Experiment with head shapes. Color foam to your liking, apply eyes and coat head with Epoxy or Clear Cure Goo. Stinger Hook Dress hook with thread and tie in the dark brown rabbit strip at the bend of the hook. Tie in Polar chenille and Wiggly hackle twisted together and work them forward to form the body. Be careful to brush fibers back as you wrap. Tie in legs and position them how you wish. Tie in and wrap the squirrel strips, brushing fibers back.
