Tenacious Tan

tied by jw_sartini
Fly Type: Terrestrials & Midges,
Target Species: Trout,
Imitation: Hoppers/Crickets,
Material List: Deer hair, tan Dubbing, tan foam, rubber legs, size 10 2xl hook, Brown 6/0 thread, troutiness
Tying Instructions: Tie in some deer hair for your tail. Be careful to not wrap hard wraps towards the back so you don't splay the hair out too much. Tie in some foam leaving a small portion hanging over the tail, compressing it. Dub about 1/5 the shank and tie your foam over it, right past the dubbing. Repeat this 4 or 5 times, while at your 2nd or 3rd, tie in two rubberlegs. Tie in a deer hair wing and whip finish. You're Done!
Presentation Tips: Splat it on top of the water for a realistic presentaion. Dead drift it, twitch it; fish it like a grasshopper.
