I'm Alex Hayes. I started this madness we call fly tying in 2005 and since I tied my first fly I have been hooked. I am currently working through highschool trying to get a good education. My favorite things to do involve the outdoors and the arts. I enjoy all fly tying but tying salmon flies whether freestyle or classic is my absolute favorite thing to do. I enjoy camping, fishing, woodworking, art, and listening to music. I also enjoy playing some recreational sports like soccer and basketball, and I love to follow my favorite NFL football team The Green Bay Packers! I'm pretty shy but I'm always up for a good chat. You may find me at a couple fly expos around Michigan since I've taken interest in going to and participating in them.  I look forward to tying more and more flies and becoming better aquainted with everyone here.
