Magnificent fly. It looks like there is a feather fiber or something fury under the floss behind the bead and Im curious what that is?

This is a simple fly with some very special feathers for the wings. Ever seen tippets like them? They are Splash X Cinnamon Golden Pheasant 2nd generation. They have no straight barring and have splashes of red in them. I have only seen one bird like this and will likely not see another.

The little feather veiling the bottom of the tag is an after feather from a tippet. I throw very little away.

The bead is a hand made lampglass bead.

I understand what you mentioned previously, about each hook being a fresh canvas, and not knowing what you will tye, until it’s complete.

Your flies are like no others, and I’m constantly amazed at what you create when the artistic juices flow. I really enjoy studying your flies, they are very inspiring, and I spare myself the aggravation of ever trying to replicate these masterpieces, because I could never do it, and would hate to see hatchet work of one of a kind fly. You have an extraordinary talent, to you this is a simple fly, ah...I'm at a loss for words... it isn't simple to me.

That is a sweet fly I like the colours that are blended in the wing. I can only imagine what that bird looked like.

All the major league sports are doing it know. We need to start testing Ronn for fly tying Steroids.
