Hand Made Salmon Hooks|

I like it Jimmy. The name if familiar, but I don't know why.
Finding that I wish the tail was mounted just a little father back - right over the barb. Seems like the hook isn't entirely used - a practice I use on narrow gaped hooks when I want more hooking power. Tis hook has a nice wide gap. Looks like Geert's wingless wet hook - Kamazan?
Hope you're well.

Yes Dale, it is a bit low water-ish! the idea is,to give the appearance of a smaller fly but keeping the weight of the hook to get the depth needed, all my P. R's were tied this way. The Kamasan hooks were ideal for this.

A "potted" history of the P.R. & others by my friend Stevie Munn, though the thread on all the flies he mentions should be black, not red as per his samples. http://fly.hardyfishing.com/en-gb/ezine/february-2013/some-classic-trout-fly-immortals-by-stevie-munn.php
