Hi Guys,
I found an old Partridge hook inside of my tying box, so I decided to start an experiment. In practice I wanted to tie a fully dressed fly to be used in my next salmon fishing trip, maybe in Norway, where I hope to "enter in contact" with a nice fish. For this reason I selected a quite big hook and I choosed the Green Highlander, because it is a really effective pattern on some Norwegian river.
Ciao
Luca

Dear LUCA,

A stunning example of a GH !!!....as this is a fly who's by YOU (and no one else - wink !)...is so beautyful tied !!!

Fishingwise a bomb !!! especially on this fishable 1/0 hook

Thanks for letting the 'andrenaline' flowing to 'pick' that fishinghook out of a box and 'start this GH'

pstttttttttt a pitty (Yes I looked to the European final football this evening - this after a long 'day' of a baby drink and party' )...that Your 'SQUADRA' lost the final ...but must admit the SPANISH team was a 'joy' to watch playing football !!!

and now I sign off for a day or two !

Dear Geert,
yesterday it was a bad match and the coach made a lots of mistake. Many player were in very bad condition, so it would have been better to start the match with "fresh" and more motivated people. 4-0 is not only a defeat but an humiliation! Anyway, the Spanish team played at a superior level.

Dear Sven, since the first time I visited the Gaula river, this happened many years ago, I followed in love of this spectacular water course and I said more then one time to my sons that when I will die, I hope as late as possible, I want that part of my ashes will be thrown in it!
Anyway I should be there quite soon and this year the fishing condition seems really promising. I would like to reopen this topic with the image of a salmon caught with my GH. Moreover, my friend Gianluca is completing a split cane rod for salmon and we are curious to test it.

I like your fly a lot, Luca - and share hope for it hooking a salmon on that new cane rod! Please start a new post with this fly in a salmon's jaw.

Greetings to your family!

I agree with you that Luca Gaula is a special river. Where do you fish?
I go to Rogstad for the eighth season in a row in a few weeks.
Rogstad is located about five kilometers upstream Støren. Before that, I will fish in the river Driva a few days before.
Who knows, maybe we can meet if you are around.

Dear Sven
my dear friends Tone and Jeremy fish regularly the Driva river and probably you know them, but I never fished that nice river.
I will be around Lundamo in a few weeks as well and I know the area where you are going to stay, as I fished quite frequently on the Winsnes and I took an appartment in Rognes.
The salmon have started to cross the Gaulfosshølen, so I suppose that the upper part of the river will be very good when you will be there.
I will wring with my my laptop, so we can stay in touch and maybe to meet each other.
Ciao
