Phil :Dry versions of any fly can be deceiving. Trial by water (even under the faucet) can be the great revealer. I suspect that the fine job that you've done on the QoS's will be fully realized if you gave them a splash (just watch how it tames your guinea on the 1st). That being said, the SD seems more nonchalant and appealing to my eye as it sits.
All three are really excellent Phil.

Dear PHIL,

YOU are also 'one' of those 'PROOFS'... that with hard working one can get 'realy and I mean realy GOOD in tying classic salmon flies !!!

BRAVO MY FRIEND !!!

Smashing work on the QUEEN OF SPRING...both Your versions !!!

I realy have a weak for Your 'FISHING version' of YOUR "SILVER DOCTOR" and this despites the 'RIBS' on the body who are completly 'off'...as as as on the whole this FLY is a belter ...I AM IN LOVE when we can look to such a nice mixed wings (like here !!! sooooo full and marvellous compact !)

I can only follow the words 'everyone' brought over to YOU ....

CONTINUE and man be 'proud' ....think that ANDREW (if he's allready back from his yearly WAELES) must do in the future HIS very best ...to 'counter' YOU !!! (hahahahaha)...but yes ANDREW is loving more his feathers and his fishing than tying classics !................wonder if he caught 'something' SILVERY upthere !!! hmmmmmmm perhaps (but I know tooooo he's more for the 'spinner' upthere as the 'rivers' are damned difficult to fish with succes with the fly !)

Hi Phil!

Congrats! Geert and Mike said it regarding the growth in your tying that these flies show; just wonderful!

It appears the "mentoring" of the forum works when a willing tier works, too.

Keep it up, Phil. I hope you and your wife are well.
