Well this is my attempt at a Paul Scmookler's Green Mansions. I have always loved this fly and this is the fly that convinced me to give classics a try. To say this fly was a challenge would be a huge understatement. I did not stack the IC like Paul did on the cheeks and I did not pay attention to the picture very closely because I think Paul tied one Gy feather at the 4th rib them jungle cock and another Gy feather for the throat. when I noticed that it was to late and trying to wrap that much silk is a real pain in the A**. The tag looks long but that's the way Paul did them, I wish I would have gone just a mm. shorter. Anyway I hope ya all enjoy it as I do.
