I am quite sure this topic has come up before and I apologize for being redundant however I could use some help.
Could someone explain or point me to a reference on how to do my tippets in strands for my underwing?
I certainly appreciate the help.

Technically correctly they are tied in mixed lengths - you mount them exactly as you would a married wing - I tend to keep mine of the same length as they look better on a display fly.
There's no 'trick' to getting them on well, it's just plain hard and takes lots of practice.

Take a look at pattern description of course,Daves as always is bang on for the most part it does mean strands which means using plenty of large tippet feathers, cant think off top my head buy there are patterns that call for paired tippets, not in Durham Ranger sense but stripped in halves I think?(though I may be wrong)?
have fun though to be honest I wished Id of used strands from the very start as I think they are easier.
