Hi everyone

thanks to everyone for the comments on my last fly the Bonne Bouche , this is the first fly ive tied since i lost my dog last week , me and my wife alli have been in bits !!

did a beresfords fancy on a 3/0 really took my time with the underbody as i wanted it to taper from the tip i had no natural black that was any good so i used a died black saddle hackle probbabley a little heavier than i wanted . had no jay big enough ( i will have to get my sticky hands in to mikes jay bag at stoke ) so i used teal the head, i am finally getting there used 2 herls on it

quite pleased with the bodywork and overall it looks ok

tremendous good flosswork and taper in that body !

Yes perhaps that 'densy' hackle (but I like it here !)........no problem with the 'lacqing of the jay' (Yes I would put my HANDS in MIKE's his 'jay' BOX in his suitcase ! wink ! sure there will be GIANT in thems ! )

and the 'HORNS' .............(psttttttttttt silence that 'my' cabinmate doesn't hear it....but I like them toooooooooooooo hahahahahahaa)

For me PHIL a realy beautyful rendition of this not soooooooooooo easy pattern

sorry to hear about Your 'dog' at heart !.......................'ours' lived for allmost (only a couple of months short !!!) to HIS 21 years (yes 21 years old)....a JACK RUSSELL wich I called then allready to a 'hidden' little spate river in SCOTLAND ........called : "ORRIN" ! ............since we lost him we decided not to 'go' for a another one ! ...but memories rests (be assured of that !)

NIce job Phil..sorry about your dog, time will heal..same thing happened to me last week...so I know how it is....fortunately I have two more to keep me going..but 16 years is along time in the family!!
