Sounds awesome Bud. I'm jealous (of the winemaking mostly). Sounds quite delicious too. I miss my Mom's black current
Iiquor - mixed in a bit of dry white wine it is such a refreshing delight.
Take care
Andreas

Sounds like a fun project! It is always very rewarding to be able to enjoy something you created from start to finish. I am jealous of your flowering trees! Here in Michigan we are getting some warm weather at least. I'm ready for spring.

My cousin has gotten into the wine making, and he made some dandelion wine, and it was actually really good. I really like the sound of blackberry wine too. What all of your new trees and plants are you going to make wine with?, 'cause you can make wine with almost anything, I'm just wondering what a jalapeno wine would taste like?
Yeah Alex, who would've thought, 80 degrees in March (At least here in W.MI.), and it doesn't look like there is a cool-down coming anytime soon. It's been record setting temps the last few days. Spring, or maybe even summer is here. Time to start thinking about fishing.

first batch of strawberry came out great, i have another 6 gallons of strawberry bubbling, a batch of wild berry, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries cooking, a batch of exotic fruit, pinapple, mangos and kiwi cooking, and tommorow i put a batch of black cherry in the fermentor.
man i'm having fun watching those airlocks bubble up, smells real good around here
gonna do elderberries and blackberry, mulberries about ready to shake from the trees so these will be next to hit the fermentors

Last year I started brewing my own beer. There is a local shop that make their own malt, and sell all the fresh hops and grains you would ever need. For now I buy their malt (not quite ready to make my own) and buy grains and hops according to specific recepies. I've done four different batches, Amber Ale, Pilsner (the best so far), a Black Berry Porter made with black berries from my inlaws property, and a second round with the Amber Ale.
I think I over did it with the black berries, but it's a good beer none the less. It's a very rewarding process, and the quality, when you hit it right, is top notch.
I can't wait until my family and I move back to Vancouver Island, get our own property, and get to planting.
Nothing like watching that initial fermentation, it's very cool.
Sounds like your having a blast. Keep posting about it.
