Before I start tying classics and only admired them , Childers was my favorite. After starting tying them I never have give the pattern a try before.
Using old tying tread on the one tied in hand the head got a litle bit big on this one.
Comments is welcome

Dear STEINAR,

SUPER ! two times SUPER ( euh why not three times SUPER !...here we GO ! ...euh it's done already tongue.gif )

This is a also a 'pattern' to my HEART Steinar...even I didn't have given a try so far...

This is a fly who has so so much to offer for the 'eyes'...and 'bears' everything in (she = allways she with me ! even it's a he/him ! tongue.gif )...his fishing abilities 'drup off' of this pattern...

and and and YOU 'nailed' them BOTH ...wonderfully tied to 'perfection'...

fantastic 'robust and fine' at the same time...perfect 'hackle choice' ...(who's talking about a head now...come on Steinar that / her head looks great ! tongue.gif (euh aswell as her body tongue.gif )

If there is still laying 'snow uphtere' ...well it would melting away ...because this fly 'gives such a warmed'...

THANKS for posting YOUR 2 beauties ...'let say YOU are a sublim vicetyer and sublim handtyer laugh.gif '

Have a good 'warm' 'ice weekend' uphtere...

Geert/Gerald

Hi Stienar!

I'm with Dave on this one - and Geert, of course! The fly is beautiful. To admire a pattern as you did, then to make as beautiful one as is possible must feel great to your heart!

I hope you are well. Look forward to your next submission, as well.

Thanks for this one,

Dale

Hi Steinaer

You have done a wondefull job on your childers. I agre with you that it is one of the most
beautiful classic flies and you realy have done one of the best childers i have seen.
And i dont understand how you can do it in hand - very skillful job. rolleyes.gif

Best regards
Kjaer

Both are lovely indeed. Hard to even tell which one was tied in hand. You certainly gave the pattern a fitting treatment.

Steinar, B E A utiful!

The look you achieve with your flies is so appealing to me. I too have always liked the Childers but have not tied it before. I think I will have to get on that.

Thank you for sharing these with us.

(the only difference I can see between the two is the head size which you pointed out (I don't think it is too big.))

Cole.
