Dear FRIENDS,
It must be a full thirteen months since I 'posted' one of my flies on the 'Classic and Artistic Salmon Flytying forum' (aswell as on their side 'door'...the place where WE can post 'OUR' 'wet flies and streamers'). The reason of my complete absence is known by a whole lot of YOU (ah for some of YOU perhaps not yet)...
In short...
..Now that 'our' situation' GODTHANKS' is cleared up (my Nathalie goes 'healthwise' well...our daughter Vanessa goes aswell 'healthwise again well...and thus we can look forward again with 'happynes' to 'our' further lives. All I can and still give with for those who are confronted with breastcancer or or or another severe ilness or 'bad happenings' of all sorts...please do Your 'utmost best' to 'not loose' Your hope and faith that things can come 'GOOD' again or at least sustainable better.
psttttttttttttttt this 'bad period was filled in 'at the end' succesfully... with for aswell 'our' daughter Vanessa a D.I.E.P flap surgery on both breasts (Deep Interior Epigastic Perforator flap surgery) begin november last year aswell the same D.I.E.P flap surgery for both breasts for my beloved wife Nathalie in april last (it was discovered later on that both my Nathalie aswell our daughter wearing the breast cancer 'GEN' in them)...this was discovered after gen tests took place in the period 'our' eldest daughter was on train recovering of 'her' breast tumor surgery in april 2017 and when in 'full chemo therapy from may to end of september. Early march of this 'rolling' 2018 and a month before the same DIEP surgery Nathalie had to 'undergo' as our daughter...they took away also still her 'ovaria' (as those both 'bad' cancer gens are going 'hand in hand')
Now again 'over' to MY flytying...in that long 'ruff' period me and Nathalie aswell our daughter Vanessa and her husband went thrugh (also my two other children and our grandchildren)...I was still able to TIE flies - those moments at the vise 'did' me allways good...but I think this is in 'general the case for everyone who is a flytyer and flyfisher (even apart of a fishingday or two in Germany last august and 'my short' escapade last september to target salmon in company of my Danish friends PER HANSEN and LARS MOLLER...it was I say...extremely quite on my flyfishing activities last year - even 'one' can say up to a week or two ago. So last year I had no visits to my beloved little 'chalk' river in the Northern part of France.
Some of YOU noticed it perhaps allready...but aside my comeback 'here'...I 'went' for a FACEBOOK account - this since a couple of weeks only (but without being actif)... otherwise I posted today 'my very very first' timeline and photo's ...ah I am a complete 'beginner' on FACEBOOK... and thus I am not yet 'inscribed' or 'accepted' in any of those existing 'GROUPS' on FACEBOOK (I noticed also allready that there are so so many of them that it is realy difficult for me at the moment to see 'clear' in that great bush of 'GROUP' chooices on them). And it is also soooooooo that I am not so so 'CLASSIC' orientated anymore (euh this as known since a little while now ) in the tying of my 'salmon flies' I tie still ...and even more especially in my 'wet flies'...my flies became simply a bit more 'creative' or 'fishy'.
For reasons I didn't knew last year how it would evoluate with the health of 'our' daughter Vanessa ...aswell as with 'my beloved' wife Nathalie...I decided to GIVE this FORUM a complete stop and GIFT ALL MY TIME TO 'our' daughter and my complete family (I was thus NOT actif on any other platform or forum or Facebook) ...
So I decided also not to plan 'things and trips' ...so also no intention for participating on the ASFI 2018 show (held last weekend). On the contrary I said myself last october/november...I will tie and put a nice 'gift'frame togheter of 'classic Canadian hairwing salmon flies' and also give some place in that same frame for some of my 'own' patterns...and this to let 'hand over' this same frame by MARC Leblanc to a FRIEND at my heart at the ASFI 2018 show...this for a friend who had not as much 'luck' as me and my wife Nathalie and daughter Vanessa had ...read a giftframe for BOB Mc.Donald.
Even I am not at all a specialist of tying 'HAIRWING' salmon flies...(I rarely had tied some in the past...)...I also didn't stacked the 'hairs' even on a big part of the flies in the frame (read thus the wings of those flies)...I did 'my' best and did/tied them 'my way'. I also had the intention to let make and let put the frame by a good friend of my weekly flytingclub...but in the end 'I went for it myself' (ah I am not a specialist on that either)...
Yesterday it did thus great 'innerly' to hear by a Email and a 'chat'...that my frame was handed over by MARC to BOB on the ASFI banquet...and to feel I was there for a bit.
I hope (and I am as sure as anything who exists) that EVERYONE 'upthere' (visitor or paricipant) had a great great friendships venue ...between 'FRIENDS OF THE ANGLE'.
I just saw that FRIEND 'Stephen' putted a couple of lines of his ASFI 2018 visit ...overhere in the 'LODGE section'

PS...photo six is the 'front and back' cover of the book who was put togheter and published by my dearest enemy of my heart Dale DARLING at the start of 2017...covering my 'CREATIVE GEWE WET FLIES'.....and the last photo is my 'latest' creative WET fly (tied a mere couple of days ago)...............ah I have sooooooo much to let vieuw to YOU all...classic salmon flies, salmon flies with classical notes, and 'creative salmon flies' in the good old 'CLASSIC AND ARTISTIC SALMON FLIES section and 'my' classic wet flies, creative wet flies andnow and then a streamer and flymphs in the 'CLASSIC STREAMER AND WET FLIES section...
SORRY SORRY SORRY 'my friends' but I discover problems to 'upload' the photo files of my flies (TO BIG - euh as usual)...and sooooo YOU have to wait and have patience - perhaps even up to tomorrow - anyway for me the most important thing is done allready here...I AM BACK !!!
