How many times you fell in the water?
Got bit?
What bait?
How many tons of crab you Catch?
And how the heck you catching?
Trap? Turkey neck on a string?
You ate so many you got sick?
Got any tickets for poaching?
Been watching issues with season openings there, opening delayed because crabs weren't full. You catch any empty crabs?
I got lots of questions
You catch more than ronn jr.?
Who caught the biggest crab?

Well Ronn...we're waiting for your answer[s].... For the record, all of us are fishermen...so we'll recognize BS when we see it

Ok, here is the story and it ain't a fisherman's story either. Saturday was a little windy (you can expect that at the coast), cold and overcast. Got lots of full Dungeness Crab, some ocean and some bay crabs which is usual too. Some of the crabs were the size of footballs!!!! Sunday was windy, cold and rainy but more crabs about the same as Saturday. Monday (Christmas) was relatively warm, clear and sunny and more crabs. Ron (son) slipped on the dock and did a face dive and was hurt kinda bad. He should have gone to the emergency room for a couple stiches on his eyebrow but he's stubborn like his dad. Tuesday we left and it was sunny, warm and the bay was smooth as a mill pond! In all, we got 74 or 5 crab! Best crabbing I've ever had!!!
Bud's questions: Boat, pots, shad (bait. works 100% better than turkey legs), butter (dipping sauce), no empty, couldn't be fuller, that's it.
I think there will be more pics later.

He's ok, just bruised up a bit. Yes, we got pots. He has a 16' boat but a friend (also a widower) has one too & his has (What do you call it?) a davit....for hauling up the pots. There, you don't have to let them soak long. The bay has millions of the things. Got a few females carrying eggs. Usually we get at least half females but this time very few overall. Fun stuff. Quite cold though! One morning there was ice on the deck.

Glad everyone is doing (recovering??) just fine. I hope you were able to cook, eat and enjoy those crabs with a fine local craft beer or ale. Just a match made in heaven...YUM!!
Cheers,
George
