My first fly posted on this section, pretty happy with it. Started out a fishing fly, turned into a bit of fun,,

Agreed. Except I've never tied or fished one. Did it work?

Looks like one Teddy would fish. Not that's justification to do so. Haha.

Look's like it'll float like a lifejacket Dave & pretty much all "Daddy" patterns work well.  There's a simple-ish "damp" version that's always worth a space or three in any box, l.s. 10/12 (Kamasan B800 or similar) natural raffia body with a fine oval rib wound in opposing direction, & a g.p. tippet hackle about the same or slightly longer than the shank, fished as a point fly on an 8lbs co-polymer leader, as they can hit this one hard !

We call that a crane fly in my neck of the woods. Love the fly and I just know that thing would work...WELL!!!

like it alot dave...reminds me of some loch flies used in the Isles...it'll def work   yeah dale i gotta tie a few for when the ponds cool off
