Doug Stewart's variation, designed for Pacific NW stillwaters. His was tied with pheasant tail wing and tail; I prefer pheasant rump fiber tail and a single feather for the wing, for increased durability.

hook - Mustad 9671 #8
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - pheasant rump fibers
body - yarn hot red (green optional)
hackle - partridge
wing - pheasant rump
