hook - Mustad 9672 #8
tail - Guinea hen
thread - Danville 6/0 black
rib - small wire copper
body - tinsel copper
throat - fox squirrel
wing - pheasant rump dyed brown
collar - peacock herl

Doesn't that head throw off the position of the throat in your eyes?  Like the pattern, I wonder about  more of a thorax of PC herl an then the throat and then the head?

Just about all versions of Spratleys I've seen have the throat tied behind the herl collar. You could certainly modify the position if you liked.
