Used Ryan Houston's version as a base. Getting closer to picric without the pyrotechnics.


hook - Mustad 3906 #8
thread - UTC 70 chartreuse
tail - pheasant tail
rib - Uni-Stretch hot orange
body - dubbing hot yellow/chartreuse
body hackle - picric sub (1 Tbs Rit lemon yellow, 1 cup water; overdyed with 1Tbs Rit Lemon yellow/Koolaide LemonLime)
front hackle - hot orange
collar - chukar partridge dyed picric sub (1 Tbs Rit lemon yellow, 1 cup water; overdyed with 1Tbs Rit Lemon yellow/Koolaide LemonLime)
