I started these just as Royce said he was tying. We talked for quite
awhile about flies, the forum, history, and other important to us stuff.

Anyway, the idea here started with a yellow wet, because yellow down
here seems to work, but it needed contrast, so the bag of red claret
mohair was near.

The wings are made from stuff lying near, and include 2 swords each, some bits
of tippet, teal, and other odds and ends, including summer duck, bits
of hen pheasant covert fibers and maybe something else if I saw some.

The collar of each is a very small partridge feather wound after the wing
was set, and the heads are peacock herl.

I'll see how they fish tomorrow of Wednesday or both.

Exactly. They'll look good in a trout mouth too Ronn. Much better in fact.

I agree !!  All of them appeal to me on several levels.  A great batch of flies, Dale

Thanks. I fished one yesterday. A trout took it in the first cast. After landing two, my guideline for a fly switch, I tried and hooked trout, and a lovely bluegill, on other wets.
