Hello there,

I am looking for some 1x long, light wire sproats or similar in a 1/0 ,1,2, 4, or 6 for speys.

Perferably bronze and blind-eyed. I have lots of modern hooks so am looking for something vintage which I can fish with.

I know Bob F. used some old Mustads he tweaked a couple of years back to tie photo flies for Colin's site. I can do some myself with the right hook to start from...

Wondering if anyone has any of these hooks or cogent suggestions.

Thanks for your time.

Have you tried www.kenhook.se for Mustads, both he & Ron Jefferies of www.troutandsalmonhooks.com   have quite a few patterns in stock which aren't listed

Tom, I recently got hold of a large quantity of bronze streamer hooks in size 6. Mustad blind eyes, hollow points. Easy to manipulate and rework to spey/dee hooks. You're welcome to a few, if you want.

Hi robert,

That is a very generous offer.

I'll send you a pm or send  me one and we can figure it out.

Thank you,

Tom

Sorry for the late response. I was out travelling for business. I got your PM, I'll send you a few hooks.
