A new post on my blog details the three great reasons to be in Miramichi country next June, including ASFI, the Atlantic Salmon Museum's incredible fly framing collection, and of course, the Atlantic Salmon!    www.theriverscourse.blogspot.com/2018/01

hey gary,

I see that you didn't make it yesterday at the springhole. blush.png

The Miramichi in June...without thinking about all the variables what three flies would you never be without if fishing that region during that time? size and style hook?

Heading into the hospital on Friday for a couple days, Ted, just couldn't do the Springhole this year.

The three flies is easy for me:  Glitter Bear, Celtic Beauty, Cutty Sark.  Size dependent on water lever.  Normal levels: either a 6 or 8.

My choice of three flies (non classics) would be: 1. Black bear green butt (for dark days) 2. Yellow Ally Shrimp (for bright days) 3. Ingalls Butterfly with a green and red butt Like Gary, I would have them in sizes 6 and 8 (I like Tiemvo 7999) for normal water conditions. It would be unlikely to have low water at the end of June but I would have a few larger flies in case of high water. I know you asked for three, but you should bring some big dries as well. Marc

Goodness. On the Indian River it's a piece of bacon and a bobber.

I admit to obsessing on this. If there was away I'd try to make it.
