A friend of mine tied a few of these up a few weeks back. Isn't this just a fan wing? He said it was referred to as the bat wing in an old manual of his. I tied this one on a vintage hook I received from George the other day. Old Bergman maybe...? Thanks!

Nice tie!
The Fanwings are typically chosen from the breast and are tapered differently. Eric Austin ties some excellent Fanwings.

Here is a box of Eric's Fanwings

Can see the broad curve of the wingtips?

Thanks Reed! Those fan wings are great. What is the one with the teal wing?
