I'm relatively new to this community and social media in general so I've been having a poke through the various forums to see what's being discussed.
I happened on a post about how to keep dry's like the Wulff's floating better for longer even in rough water. One way that I've always dealt with this issue is to replace the dubbed bodies with spun deer (or caribou if you can get it, it's better) and add a slightly heavier hackle than normal. Even hackle through the entire body as well to create in essence a killer whiskers bomber. They float like corks even without any floatant added.
Here's some examples tied in #8 and #10 tied on daiichi Bomber hooks intended for Salmon.
