Scott: This is an exciting pattern. Very fishy and expertly dressed. In the tannin stained streams I fish, a touch of scarlet or red would be the cat's meow

Interesting configuration for a wet fly...and your work is exceptional.....
"I've spent many days on the golf course and said I should have gone fishing.
But I've NEVER been on a trout stream or Atlantic Salmon river and said I should have played golf." - Me

Has elements of the very succesful reservoir "streamer type" pattern, caled the "Missionary" http://www.fish4flies.com/Lures/Fry-and-Small-Fish-Patterns/Missionary
In some circles, it's also known as the "Northapmton Sandwich" after a certain well know angler was caught using 3 Jacob's "Cream Cracker" dry biscuits, broken up & allowed to float away from the side of a boat, in several large trout fisheries around the Northampton area. They would act as an attractant & he would be catching loads more fish than everyone else put together. This was in the early 70's I'm lead to believe.
