Wow. Thanks Ronn. So many thoughtful delightful details. Do you build the body as you go, or make a complete underbody and tie over it? Using different threads for different bits? The two jc feathers are lovely. Thanks for this one old boy.

That's pretty intricate for a quick fly, love the body work on it.

Really like the last three you've posted with the multi color joints. What's the tail here? Beauty Ronn, killer fly.

I keep looking and I keep finding new stuff to see. Your tinsel/herl/tinsel butts are way snazzy.

Thanks guys! Sorry Val nothing exotic, just a small indian neck hackle. Kinda like the look. Dale, I build the underbody all at one time before anything else is tied on. Well, I do tie the tip on and anything I put on before the tip. This means the tip is also tapered when applied. I show how on my website. I've been putting tinsel flanking the herl joints lately. Without that, floss, ribs, hackle and such can disturb the herl. I've been using different tinsels on the joints but lately, I've been using the same on each side.........kinda like that look. Sometimes it is tough to think up new things to do. Well.....I guess in reality, there is nothing new it fly tying I guess. Well, except for Val's works.....That's NEW!

Thanks. Great info. New to the tier counts, I think. It's when that is taken as new globally we struggle. But who and pretense continue to thrive in the world, so no surprise when someone take a credit for a thing that's been for a very long time.
