A fly gifted to me by a certain nice Scottish Trout fishing chap a while back - only recently noticed it's a Blacker Spring Fly No.6 - though I hasten to add I don't claim it's tied by ole Bill!

Here's some vintage that I bought recently. Many are in poor condition and most of them will probably be stripped and re-tied Can anyone identify the unknown so I would have been happy. On this unknown is topping tied in before the main wing.

Hi. Thought I would share with you one of my recent Ebay finds, Fly is undoubtedly a genuine Rogan and it is made the same way as Mike has stated in a previous thread.
This is in wonderful condition and I still wonder how people with this interest could miss such a beauty.

Geerty, we approach the final countdown, the boss is back on Monday haha

Okay, I'm really glad to throw some photos to my favorite thread with vintage stuff.

The flies are tied on a small hooks as you can see and they are amazing to me!!! It worth to spend some money to see this kind of stuff holding in your hand instead of watching through the PC monitor. Still wondering the tiers were so keen in tying them this small. Some patterns I still have to figure out, if you have an idea just let me know. Thanks.

Whist visiting friends on the Awe last month I got permission to photograph an old cigarette box of flies. The family also have connections to the Helmsdale. Any help identifying the patterns greatly appreciated. The Ardarth Cigarette Tin could date from about 1920 up until the end of the second world war.

Thanks Dave. Very much appreciated. Please see attached photo of the unknown fly No.15 this time on a light background. I have also added a light background shot of the two Eagles (I think) which shows some of the body work a little better. I have updated the original thread to include your id's. Anyone else's suggestions very welcome.

A huge Mar Lodge with chenille butt. Hook gape is about 5/0 and the whole fly is ~9cm long.
