There used to be a pinned topic with 12 photos of Steven Fernandez flies called 'The Artistry of Steven Fernandez'. A few weeks ago I met up with Steven at the Northwest Tying Expo, and he mentioned

to me that the thread had disappeared. I got a hold of Bud, and he told me that there had been some hacking to the forum, and the Steven Fernandez thread was gone for good. I happened to have

saved the images from the post, so I had those. After the show, I was in contact with Steven by email, and talked him into letting me post the original 12, plus several photos to scan and turn into digital

images, plus a group of digital images he had. Steven is a humble guy, and didn't want these posted as a vanity thing, but rather as a post of his work that would be of interest to other fly tyers. Steven

is a meticulous fly tyer, and a great teacher, as he demonstrates his great skill at tying traditional Catskill dry flies at shows. I was proud to put his page together. I used my webspace so it would hopefully

endure. It's not connected to my website yet, and has it's own web address. Hope you enjoy it:

Mike, Thank you for sharing those once again. It's amazing how simple yet elegant and precise they are. I know the simplicity is an illusion though as I can't fathom the skill for something like that. Amazing is the best word I can think of to describe them. Jon

I've had a pompadour wing in mind for quite a while now, the feathers just waiting for manipulation, and i'm going to have to make it soon, now that  I see this work again!

Nice, Steve, and thanks Mike for posting it again.
