I figured it was about time to post up a fly to the forum. I've been tying lots and lots of classics and steelhead flies for fishing over the last year.   This is a 3/0 Silver Ardea tied to fish.  Nothing really rare or expensive in this one, I used a GP crest spade feather for the tail, and burned goose for the throat.  I've always admired this pattern, but never tied it until now.  For your amusement.  Aaron

Good for a frame really, beautifully tied, sheer harmony in the colours.!! If i fished this fly,it would be as a hair-wing(OOOPS!!!) apologies for the blasphemy.!!!

Dear AARON,

Ah it was about time ...YOU 'closed' that door behind YOU of that famous 'slackers club' !!! (pstttttt The 'President' of that Club ...euh BUD couldn't stop YOU anylonger hahahhaha)

A beautyful 'resurection' pattern YOU have choosen...and bring in 'all' her glory !!! AMEN !!!

Lovely lines and a 'flowing' look (Your signature)...also good visible 'fly elements and ingredients' ......a clean specimen ...for the river !!!

Thanks for posting 'ole boy' !!!...and seeking YOU in june !!! (do I have to bring my 'own' junglecock teeth with me ? hahahahhaaha)

Geert

Very nice but surely it would be a better fly for fishing with the mixed strands specified rather than strips?
