The wing was set in four separate stages.  I used 2 Amherst crests in the under wing and the 1  midway to fully define the wing.  The butts/head are a blend of Mr. Bailey's pigs wool, seal fur, and standard wool.  The loop is 55 lb mono, lightly sanded, dyed with a marker and wrapped 1/2 way down the shank.  She has an unusual color signature and was probably in my vise three years ago on this date.  I have mixed feelings about this one.

I showed this one to Linda and she said the colors give it a distinct feminine character. Whatever the case...I like the fly.

Do mixed wing incite mixed feelings? I'm mixed on that topic, which would result in great conversation. It's a beauty dg. Four Amherst and two gp crests in one fly: wonderful. Since the fly is out of the vise now it'd be good to see something new if you've got it in you. Hope you're well today. Thanks for this.

Very few people outside of serious tyers, appreciate exactly what & how much effort & concentration go's into "general" tying, let alone patterns like that.

Thank you all very much:  Dave Carne had the knack for dressing a pattern with a plunging or diving momentum which benefited by having the loop and head tied in slightly off parallel.  I think this fly has that look
