The Red Marine by Baden Powell. 5/0 Lars Holst Dublin of Limerick hook. Not to bad i think. Strange pattern with bronze mallard as sides. Heads is starting to look as i want them to, like me,nice and round.😀

Wonderful fly, Bent. Did you know that the original example depicts a Temminck's Tragopan feather pair? It is one of the clues as to the generic "Himalaya Pheasant". You remember the article.

I think the feathers you chose, give the wing a more natural look. I think this is doing the pattern justice. Very nice indeed.

 

Heads is a journey all by itself, isn't it. Looking good there, buddy :-)

Thanks buddy.
Stuart sent me this pair to use. Western Tragopan back feathers i believe. Pretty Happy with it. Allways something to improve on each fly. Heads is starting to look good now.
