I finally got around to making my own Cobbler's Wax last weekend. I had read about this stuff in Ken Sawada's book on tube flies and have been wanting some for tying. I purchased some rosin and bees wax and made up a small batch (see photos below).

I figured I'd share a link a couple links outlining the process in case anyone else is interested.

Thanks for the links, Ray. That is really simple. Now that I have dyed my own feathers I will probably try this.

Thanks!! Looks like a cool project. FWIW, I did the GFF toilet ring method. It's great stuff. I don't use much dubbing wax (only occasionally for touch dubbing) I now have all I could use in about 3 lifetimes!!
