I'm hoping for the day one drops dead naturally  in my sisters fruit trees in venezuela, as she sees them very often.

I sold all I wanted to sell. Haven't seen anything on the market for about 14 months now. Not a single feather. Cotinga is easy though, still. Lots of Cayana's out there.

John McLain has it listed on his website.  He has lots at the moment.  Cotinga, Toucan and many others as well.   The price is fair market,

So, no shortage of availability at all.

Like jgogg says...McLain has some and it is at fair market price. Other sources ????????  Don't know of any...period.

Doug Milsap does not have any listed currently, but he usually has some for sale if you contact him.  My suspicion is that your seekers are just scouting for a better deal.  Who wouldn't like a better deal?  But, McLain has a pretty large supply for sale at the moment, so no worries.  When that stock runs out, though, I'm afraid another old salmon fly tier must die before more appears.  I have not seen any coming into the market from museums or old taxidermy for a while, either.  And I would run and hide if I were offered any recently obtained birds....

THAT makes oh so much sense......

As a close friend of John's I agree with statements here that he has a nice selection of rare and exotic feathers to choose from, you can never go wrong ordering from him, but of course I'm partial to him.  Good Lord, he opened his home to me and let's me come back, the man is a saint!

Let me also say, please don't give up on Doug Millsap, he's been inundated with work lately and I'm working with him to update his website.  If you are looking for something and can't find it on his site, please contact him.

Thanks,

Jon

I think it's more of people who have it, don't want to give it up. You have to go through Doug or John to get it. I can say that I have a nice supply, but use my sub instead. It is something that I cherish to much to use.

Scary.  I have heard tales of people doing that and vanishing without a trace.

There loaded in South America.  A friend of mine before he passed away did a lot of wing shooting in South America and fruit farmers would let them shoot all the crow they wanted.  They are almost a nuisance to them there.  But you can not get them out of the country.  South America has very stringent rules regarding this.  You can more time in prison for smuggling than smuggling drugs.

Exactly. They rather take their chances on coke. The status is clear: coke yes, crow no.
