euh has to post this in 'our' LODGE section...as it's not related IMO with classic salmon flies neither artistic salmon flies...
In the beginning of last week...I received a 'friendshipscall' from DENMARK...and the question and demand to 'give' him some help. It is so that 'my friend at heart' has a friend who departs at the 'end' of next week to NORWAY to fish for salmon.
That friend wanted to see tie his 'favorit' pattern by my friend ...he wanted flies on 'trebles' n° 8 and 'trebles' n°10 (Esmond Drury hooks)...10 flies of each (soo 20 in total).
Normally let it be clear once more I am not a 'hairwing' specialist and and and neither I TIE FLIES for 'nobody' (as I am sure and convinced that this would 'stress' me and unleave 'my freedom' I have for the moment and all this time..).
Anyway for 'him' (my Danish friend) I would do a lot...and sooo 'my friend' sended me up the needed materials (apart of tinsel and flytyingthread). His enveloppe with the 'EXAMPLE' of that favorit pattern (it must realy be a 'special' and 'succesfull' FLEE in Norway on that particular 'river' he will fish) arrived in my 'mailbox' around 'noon' last thursday (thus three days back)...
On thursday afternoon I started thus my 'TREBLE' tying hahahaha...today sunday (around noon) I was 'ready' with them....I lacquered ALL of the flies THREE times (as I usualy do). Tomorrow (monday) they go in the POST direction Denmark.
Took still a couple of photo's of them...
Euh but again I can't say that I enjoyed the tying 'in serie' and 'against' a 'deadline'. Anyway in my 'deepest inner' I am HAPPY for my friend...and even I don't know that friend of my friend...wishing them all the succes with them. Perhaps I will bring this same pattern in the first months to come (our new tyingseason on my beloved 'flytyers club') IN FRONT and for everyone of 'our' members.
PS...for the 'Facebook ones' ...I will not post this to 'other' groups as this 'tableaux' falls in the categorie hairwings ! wink ! . Original pattern I had to 'copy' is in each of the photo's somewhere 'aside' of the group.!
PS...and we had a visitor in our house toooooooo from friday up to this 'afternoon' hahahahaha...'our' grandchild 'NIEL'
